Learn the basics of candle making — from blending fragrance to pouring your own 8oz soy candle — all in a relaxed setting inside our active Vancouver studio. Whether you're coming solo or with friends, it’s an easy, welcoming way to pause and get creative.

All materials provided

We supply everything — soy wax, cotton wicks, fragrance oils, vessels, and tools.

You’ll blend and pour two full-size candles to take home and make one pair of hand-rolled beeswax candles

Guided instruction

Our team walks you through every step — no experience needed.

Everything you need to know before you join us.

Our sessions are casual and beginner-friendly, with everything provided. Here’s what to expect:

$105 per person
60–90 minutes
Max 8 people per session
Ages 12+ (under 16 with an adult)
Located at at 1871 Powell St.
Pick up your candle the next day or have it delivered (+$15 shipping)

Cancellation Policy
Plans change — we get it. Just give us 48 hours’ notice, and we can apply your workshop fee to a future Homecoming purchase.

Frequently asked questions

Our candle-making workshops are hosted at 1871 Powell St. There is free street parking running along the north side of Powell Street as well as throughout the neighbourhood.

You’ll be able to take home your beeswax taper candles the same day. Your soy wax candles will need at least 24 hours to dry. Please book a pickup using our scheduling tool or by emailing hello@homecomingcandles.com. Your finished candles can also be shipped/delivered for $15.

Candle making can get messy; as such, we recommend avoiding wearing anything precious or hard to clean. Please wear flat non-slip shoes if possible. Aprons can be provided.

Absolutely! We’re happy to host private candle-making workshops in our studio. We are also available for off-site candle-making workshops, customized events, and corporate team-building events. If you’re booking a private workshop, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve your date and time.

Workshops are non-refundable; your ticket can be transferred to someone else, or you can apply the cost of your ticket to an online/in-studio purchase. We require a 48-hour cancellation notice.For private workshops, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date and time. If you do not provide a 48-hour cancellation notice, you will be charged the reamining 50%.
