Alex told us about the scent that feels like warm hugs and why jasmine transports them back to their former home on Vancouver Island.
Homecoming: Tell us what your favourite scent is, what it smells like, and why you love it.
Alexandria: There are few things I love more than the smell of freshly baking apple crisp in the Summer or Fall. The smell of warmed apples and cinnamon soaking into butter is the scent equivalent of a warm hug.
Homecoming: Tell us about a scent that’s tied to a specific memory, person, or time in your life.
Alexandria: Jasmine in bloom is such a delicate, sweet fragrance; My mom planted Jasmine just outside her bedroom window so whenever there was a breeze the scent would fill her room, and I followed suit by planting Jasmine on my front porch.
Homecoming: How does this scent make you feel?
Alexandria: It transports me right back to the little A-frame wooden cabin I spent most of my twenties in on Vancouver Island. I did a lot of growing up there. It’s a scent that invites a glass-half-full perspective and reminds me things will always get better.
